Mistake?

Just booked a hair cut in the local village for one hour before the wedding we're going too ... Hit or miss. The girl sounded nervous on the phone.

What ever turns you on ...

Despite almost inevitable disappointment with a regional art gallery experience at home or abroad (see below) I still seem to find myself drawn by an invisible magnet to the over priced ubiquitous security of the art gallery cafe experience. Today in Eastbourne we sat alone on the pristine balcony of the new gallery there ... Very nice too. Not though as appealing as an air show, because meanwhile on the beach it was standing room only for the display. I would insert here an image taken from the terrace at Bexhill pavillion (I'm nothing if not consistent) of the fading pink smoke from the red arrows but I can't as yet attach pictures from my iPhone ... In fact just typing this much takes an age.

I get a kick out of you ...

As a (slightly sad) teen I could get a kick out of seeing great paintings in the flesh, now in my forties I find a 'moving' art moment somewhat hard to come by. Yesterday we visited the GREAT great Dixter (Christopher Lloyd's garden now run by Fergus Garrett) and I had that same excitement to see something 'in the flesh' that you've seen in lots of reproductions. The garden more than surpassed my expectations, in fact I had to leave for an off site cup of tea half way round to pace myself.

Pell's Pool

After many painful nights of futile searching on the Internet we failed to book a holiday abroad, and so I find myself in Sussex for a week. By way of perking myself up (about my inability to make adecision rather than Sussex) I went to the uk's oldest lido on our first day ... Nice, but I didn't stay in that long. It was a little bit chilly and the sock on the bottom was putting me off my stroke.
