I get a kick out of you ...

As a (slightly sad) teen I could get a kick out of seeing great paintings in the flesh, now in my forties I find a 'moving' art moment somewhat hard to come by. Yesterday we visited the GREAT great Dixter (Christopher Lloyd's garden now run by Fergus Garrett) and I had that same excitement to see something 'in the flesh' that you've seen in lots of reproductions. The garden more than surpassed my expectations, in fact I had to leave for an off site cup of tea half way round to pace myself.

I'm really glad great Dixter was up to scratch and hope there have been some cream teas to keep your companion from low blood sugar!
